Day Two Recap: Networking & Innovation Take Center Stage at CMHA’s Annual Meeting

Day Two of the 2025 CMHA Annual Meeting was packed with energy, collaboration, and exciting opportunities for industry professionals to engage, learn, and network. With a full day of committee meetings and a lineup of new and familiar events, attendees made the most of their time in Indianapolis.

Driving Industry Progress: Committee Meetings

Throughout the day, committee meetings took center stage, providing a forum for members to strategize, exchange insights, and advance key initiatives that support the growth and success of the concrete masonry and hardscape industry. These meetings are the foundation of CMHA’s mission, allowing members to collaborate on advocacy, technical advancements, industry best practices, and more.

A Celebration of Excellence and Innovation

Day Two also featured a variety of signature events, bringing together professionals from across the industry:

  • Awards Luncheon – A highlight of the day, this event recognized outstanding contributions and achievements in the hardscape and masonry community. Honorees were celebrated for their dedication, innovation, and leadership in the industry. Recipients included:
    • Outstanding Emerging Professionals
      • Starling Johnson and Zach Boyd
    • Chairman’s Award
      • Heidi Jandris and Blair Harter
    • Hall of Fame
      • Steve Berry and Rick Muth
  • Innovative Technologies Forum – Attendees explored cutting-edge advancements in masonry and hardscape technologies with Zach Boyd and Jessica Hetrick of ACM, David Lewis of LibertyStone Hardscaping Systems, and Brian Davis of Climate Earth leading the discussion. This forum provided a platform to discuss emerging trends, groundbreaking products, and how technological innovation is shaping the future of construction.
  • Contractor Meet-Up – This networking event allowed contractors to connect, share experiences, and discuss industry challenges and solutions. The exchange of ideas and best practices fostered a stronger, more connected contractor community.
  • EPG Social Networking Event – The Emerging Professionals Group (EPG) gathered for an evening of networking, giving the next generation of industry leaders a chance to build relationships and expand their professional circles in a casual setting.

More Ways to Connect & Engage

CMHA’s Annual Meeting offers a variety of networking opportunities throughout the week, ensuring that attendees can make meaningful connections. Additional events include:

  • Concrete Women Connect – Bringing together women in masonry and hardscapes to support and empower one another. (Feb. 4 from 5-6pm)
  • CMHA’s Social Event – This exciting social event is an evening of networking, great conversations, and industry connections in a relaxed and engaging atmosphere! (Feb. 4 from 7-10pm)
