The Concrete Masonry & Hardscapes Association (CMHA), the premier national trade association representing manufacturers and suppliers of concrete products, is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Materials Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
As a pivotal member of our Research and Development Laboratory, the Construction Materials Laboratory Technician will play a key role in conducting physical testing of masonry products, preparing test specimens, and maintaining testing equipment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative research and development efforts within the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical testing of masonry products
- Prepare and construct masonry test specimens
- Maintain and calibrate masonry testing equipment
- Adhere to standardized test procedures for evaluating construction materials
- Ensure accuracy and precision in testing methodologies
Requirements:
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to follow standardized test procedures
- Prior experience in masonry construction or testing preferred but not required
- Familiarity with ASTM Standards is advantageous
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Schedule:
8 hour shift, typically 8 AM – 5 PM, some flex scheduling available
