Objectives
Several hardscape materials were used on the project to complement the home. The patios, pool deck and courtyard used tumbled pavers, while Old World pavers were selected for the driveway due to vehicular traffic.
Solutions
The hardscape selections were intended to complement the finishes on the house, in addition to incorporating the homeowner’s desire for radiant heat, annual plantings within hardscape areas as well as filtration and frost-free water to the front water feature. All these elements were extremely complicated.
Results
Considerate design and thoughtful material selection coupled with quality of craftsmanship helped to complete a project that achieves a bespoke outcome. As a result, the hardscape and landscape are an architectural extension of the home, and an expansion of their livable space.
